You gotta understand my parents are strict. They only want the best for me, and what they believe is that I should focus on school and any extracurricular activities that are important to me. They wouldn’t want me slacking off and forgetting about all that I have worked hard for because of a boy. Or doing anything bad that can cause me to ruin all this. This doesn’t mean they wouldn’t accept me with one though. They want to meet the boy that’s willing to respect me. They want to meet the boy that’s willing to actually come to my house and introduce himself to them. They want to meet the boy that knows how to gain their trust and respect to be with me. They want to meet the boy that’ll show he’s worth my time. They want to meet the boy that’s best for me. They want to meet the boy that’ll make me happy, but not get in the way of my priorities. They want to meet the boy that they know can keep me safe when they aren’t around. They want to meet the boy that’ll abide by their rules, and follow them just to be with me. They want to meet the boy that gives their daughter everything she deserves. You gotta understand, they wouldn’t let me out with you all the time, they wouldn’t let me over your house whenever you want, and they most definitely wouldn’t let me out as late as I want with you. But no boy has ever been able to gain their trust the right way yet, and if you are willing to slowly gain it.. Then things will get easier. Plus, I’d most definitely smile and it would open my eyes to the thought of any boy willing to do that. You just gotta earn the rights. Respect my parents, and their daughter. That’s all they ask. If you can get to my parents, you can get to my heart.
